The following goods are duty free: fountain pens, cigarette lighters, printed books, newspapers and journals, perfume, skincare products and cosmetics, portable radios incorporating sound recorder or reproducers (weighing less than 10kg), pocket and wrist watches, clocks, cameras, cine cameras, video cameras, flash-light apparatus, film in rolls, pocket calculators( weighing less than 150gms).

If you are in Malaysia for a period of NOT LESS than 72 hours (for Labuan not less than 24 hours, Langkawi not less than 48 hours) you are exempted from customs duty on the following items: wine, spirit and malt liquor not exceeding 1 litre; tobacco not exceeding 225gm or 200 sticks of cigarettes or 50 sticks of cigars; matches not exceeding 100 sticks; footwear(of leather material) not exceeding 1 pair; apparel not exceeding 3 pieces; I unit each of portable appliances for personal care and hygiene; cosmetics( excluding powder and hair care), soap dentifrices not exceeding RM200 (RM500 for Labuan and Langkawi); dutiable food preparations not exceeding RM 75 in value.
